PORTLAND, Maine, April 21 , 2009 — TheJeep® World of Adventure Sports®(JWOAS), an action and adventure sports series, will air on Sunday, April 26th at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT. Host Pat Parnell of NBC Sports journeys to Summit Lake, Alaska to present the third episode of the 2009 season.

The next episode will feature:


-The Dumont Cup: JWOAS catches up with Simon Dumont as he hosts the inaugural Pro/Am Jam Competition -- "The Dumont Cup" at his home mountain Sunday River in Maine. Professional skiers including TJ Schiller, Peter Olenick, Jossi Wells and Tom Wallisch along with Simon Dumont will mentor, compete alongside, as well as judge the amateurs as they compete on the original course designed by Dumont himself. Dumont broke the world record for highest air on a quarter pipe at Sunday River one year ago to the day of this competition.

-The Arctic Man Challenge: JWOAS heads to Summit Lake in the Alaskan wilderness for this one of a kind competition that pits world class skiers and snowboarders against each other with one catch. Competitors will soar from a 1,700-foot drop to be picked up at the bottom, by a rapidly speeding snowmobile which will tow them 2 1/4 miles up a canyon at speeds approaching 90 mph before whipping them over a second huge summit into a 1,000-foot plus descent to the finish line. The Arctic Man is not a typical ski/snowboard competition by any standard!

-The 2009 San Felipe 250: JWOAS journeys to scenic San Felipe, Mexico to capture the Motorcycle and ATV classes of the second race of the 2009 SCORE Desert Championship Series. A total of 162 adventurers hit the silt to compete on the rugged 232.4-mile course which covering three of the legendary, picturesque and treacherous washes of Baja before heading back to the finish line in the shadow of the landmark San Felipe Arches.
