| Description: Invented in the summer of 1984 the McTwist was a groundbreaker and soon became the trick every pro had to have. "The Trick", as it was hailed on the cover of TransWorld Skateboarding Magazine with McGill flipping one in Del Mar. The second person to ever pull a McTwist was Lester Kasai. Tony Hawk and Christian Hosoi soon followed. Today, McTwists are almost a compulsory trick in vertical skateboarding competitions and it has been done with dozens of variations. The McTwist ranks right up there with the Ollie as being one of the most influential tricks ever done. |
