Description: Invented in 1980 the Caballerial was revolutionary. Not only was it the first spinning aerial maneuver in skateboarding, it was done without grabbing the board. The Ollie had only been invented two years prior. Caballero's peers were soon trying to emulate his trick. Lance Mountain and Neil Blender, amongst the first to try, couldn't do the "fackie 360" without grabbing the board Mute to hold it to their feet. They decided that having to grab the board was "gay" thus, the Gay Twist. Soon thereafter, it was done with a backside grab, aptly named: The Lesbian Twist or Les Twist. The name Caballerial or Cab for short, has been borrowed by every board sport from snowboarding to wakeboarding and even in-line skating. The tricks staying power is matched only by its inventor. Steve will soon enter his 30th year as a professional skateboarder with Powell Skateboards.
